A DuMontier piece is hand-cut, hand-assembled, hand-sewn and hand-finished by our skilled and passionate artisans in our New York City studio, boasting a true “Made in New York, Made in U.S.A” tradition. There is no sewing machine in our studio. We are proud to be one of the few brands to achieve this level.

The labor and time for making every piece are tremendous: even a compact zip around wallet requires 10 hours' hard work and more than 80 steps to complete. As to a larger piece such as a top handle bag, at least 50 hours of hard work and 300 steps are required to complete.
